Great Karategi, the rayon-cotton-mix feels very soft and comfortable, drying fast after washing with no creasing and a powerful snap while performing kata. The embroidery in katakana looks perfect. All in all a high quality product which I truly recommend. The service and advice from Kuroobiya was also very fast and very helpful. I will order again in the future.
This is an amazing dogi. I didn't know what to expect out of the cotton rayon blend but all I can say is it is phenomenal. It is extremely comfortable, even for a heavyweight. It may weigh more than a traditional all cotton #10 gi, but something about the fabric, it feels light and soft. It has good snap. In my experience its not quite as loud as a poly cotton kata gi but is much more comfortable and much less restrictive. It wicks sweat well and stays dry throughout intense sessions. When I am teaching it is hands down the most comfortable gi I have ever worn. It keeps a sharp appearance all throughout, no creasing whatsoever. I train in it as well and it is just as good. I feel less restricted than I would in a traditional heavyweight. This is s really good gi for just about anything. Absolutely immaculate and highly recommended. My base of comparison is a Shureido New Wave 2 (NW2). The fabric is soft, and unwrinkles easily, even after multiple washes. Comparatively the NW2 almost feels rough by comparison. Not as loud as some poly-cotton dogi, but still snappy. The yoke across the shoulders is sewn down vs the open yoke seen on the NW2. I opted to get the sleeves and trousers shortened - the length is exactly as requested. I also selected the tapered high waist option for the pants and for me it is well worth the cost and additional manufacturing time. The measurement for the waist is also spot on, and the taper adds such a tailored feel to the uniform. The embroidery is crisp, and the service from both Hamid at Kuroobiya and the team at Tokyodo have absolutely made a customer for life.
