MADE IN JAPAN
After wearing the other two main brands for years I gave this one a try, and don't regret it. Light enough for agile kumite, crisp enough for kata, perfect all-rounder for competition. The cut is roomier than Tokaido, allowing more unrestricted movement, jacket is a bit longer than Hirota, which in my opinion looks better. The katakana embroidery (name on lapel) uses tighter spacing, which works better for western names with many characters. The customised length sleeves included in the price is a plus, and an important factor for any karategi to look and feel good. Please note the different size chart (being 1.77m / 75kg, I'm a size 6 in the other brands, size 5 in Tokyodo). Hamid was very helpful throughout the ordering and dispatching process, as usual.
This Gi is fantastic! Lightweight, comfortable yet snappy with a good "feedback". It is easy to maintain, drys up quickly and dose not wrinkle much. Exactly what I was looking for! So far I have not tested the Gi under "heavy load" i.e. lot of sweat, so I don't know how it feels when its soaked in sweat. I am 178 cm, 80 kg, normal build and I ordered the size 5 (180) cm. The jacket is a good fit, but the pants are approx. 10 cm too long for me. Unlike most European gi's the waist is a bit higher. The embroidery is excellent. Domo arigato Hamid- san for recommending this Gi and for your professional courtesy! BR /Alex (Sweden)
I have received the Gi last week, it has arrived to my placed for around 3 weeks from date of purchase which is faster than my expectation. This is my 1st best Gi (based on my impression) which is originally from Japan, two other previous Gi's are made in local producer. Materials and stitching is really satisfied me. It works fine for both kumite and kata. Thanks to Hamid for his extra ordinary support and advice to choose this Gi.
