Kanazawa Sensei has long been recognised as one of the world's great martial arts masters and innovators. Now, for the first time, he has allowed the Bo Kata that he created more than 30 years ago to be recorded and taught. "Kanazawa No Bo Dai" and "Kanazawa No Bo Sho" are two very dynamic kata that relate directly to both Shotokan karate and kobudo. The new DVD is introduced by Kanazawa Sensei himself, and is performed by Seamus O'Dowd, 5th Dan, who has been a student of Kanazawa Sensei for nearly 25 years. The DVD also features Kanazawa Nobuaki Sensei performing the kata and applications. This instructional DVD shows individual techniques and sequences from the kata in great detail, as well as showing the kata from multiple angles, at slow and normal speeds. Meticulous explanations and demonstrations are provided to make this DVD a comprehensive tool for the study of this unique aspect of Kanazawa Sensei's teachings.
