Received this Belt as a Birthday gift, the quality of this belt is superb from embroidery to thickness of the belt. This is my first extra wide and extra thick belt, at first glance I thought it might be too wide, but after I put the belt on, it actually feels really comfortable no different from the normal width belt, I really like the thickness of the belt! This belt is by far the best looking belt compare to Cotton & Satin belts.
This belt is an outstanding quality product. The double thick cotton core transmits a sense of indestructibility. When people at Hirota's say "double", folks, they really mean it. The 100% pure silk surface is pretty smooth and just a little bit shiny. If you have in mind the satin-belt slipperiness and glare, well, forget it. This specific pure silk hand-made manufacturing looks and feels a sort of a middleway between cotton and satin even if it looks and feels impressively much more better. I could set the belt knot quite easily from the really first training session and its quite-shine give the karategi a halo of both preciousness and masculine strenght. Silver embroidery is gorgeus and the whole stitching work looks flawless. Not to mention the Kuroobiya customer care. Great communication, incredible helpfulness and availability. Highly recommended. I received my belt today and to say I am pleased is an understatement. I received my Shodan in 1995 so I thought after many years of training and grading that it was time to treat myself with a new belt. My previous belt was a Satin Hirota but I wanted a personalized silk one and this belt is fantastic. The gold embroidery and the stitching and feel of it are great. I was given a lead time of 6 weeks and it arrived 6 weeks and one day later so you cannot ask for more than that. With the time put into making this belt that i will have, hopefully for the rest of my days, this was worth waiting for. I just need to knock the stiffness out if it but that will happen in time.
